Kingston Magnus / Fabdec Quantus  Plate Coolers	Effective pre-cooling reduces the milk temperature from 35c to around 20c or even lower. The bulk tank therefore has less cooling in order to reduce the milk to 4c for storage. This reduced workload requires that the condensing units have to run for around 40 to 50% less time, therefore using less electricity. The money saved usually means that the plate cooler has paid for itself after one or two years. By reducing the cooling time, bacteria has less time to grow, ensuring the highest possible milk quality. These coolers are not suitable for DIY or self installation. Installation needs to be carried out by a competent person.
